Lucky Duck Racing will be attending the 2019 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sales looking for the next star of WA RACING. It’s a tough market with prices from around the country being strong so far this year and buyers from overseas and big interstate stables with big budgets set to pounce. However if you do your research and follow some simple guidelines you can still walk away with a nice horse.
1. Stick to your budget
2. Get a professional 2nd opinion including xrays.
3. Bonus Schemes (Westpeed). LDR only buy westpeed eligible yearlings. If it’s going to race in WA then it’s essential in our opinion as you can virtually double your prize money.
Over the next few weeks we will have a look at a few on our shortlist. If you maybe interested in a share this year then get in touch with a budget and any questions you might have.

The mare is an 8 time winner closely related to recently departed WA SUPERSIRE Blackfriars. To have a yearling related to our two favourite WA sires in Blackfriars & Trade Fair ticks all the boxes. They are generally durable horses adaptable to a variety of distances.
