Things haven’t quite gone to plan this prep for our stable flag bearer STARTHEFRIAR (DONALD). We head to the Avon Valley this Wednesday to try and turn things around. A few minor gear changes and training routines have been put in place and we are optimistic of a forward showing in what looks a very even race .
Speedmap ; Hard race to asess speed wise with Vitallio looking to hold up from the inside (1). Doubt they go too hard unless someone tries something different to their usual pattern. From our perfect draw (5) we will look to settle midfield one off the fence and come with one run down the outside.
Betting Strategy; The $15 available is justified on current form. Having said that, at his best he would be close to favourite and he is 3rd up from a good barrier over his pet distance. He is a must for the quaddie and novelties .

In other news out of the duck pond , Our 2yo Alfred Nobel gelding Huey has done very well in the paddock. About to return for a second stint of racing school at the breakers , we are very happy with his development during the spring.
