Best Bet Ascot r2 Linchpin ; 2nd Career start at 1600m at Ascot on a Saturday off a debut 1400m maiden win. Not a usual candidate for a best bet however he was impressive sitting deep throughout , he’s well bred , 2nd in the maiden has won since and this isn’t very strong for a graduation .
SRM Linchpin (11) top 3 Grandad’s Addiction (8) top 4. Grandad is a $34 pop who’s two starts this preperation have resulted in a 1400m maiden win and a 2nd to Pharoah Show over 1695m . We are tipping him at dbl figures later in the program so he goes in the SRM to add some juice.
Best Each Way Ascot r4 Surfside Session ; Hot speed anticipated here and this lightly raced 4yo maps to stalk it and hopefully run past them. Fair bit harder than last couple of runs but he should also be ready to peak 3rd up.
Best Value Ascot r7 Pharoah Show ; Liked the way this galloper hit the line in a dominant c1 win last start and should be even stronger over the extra 100m. This is a wide open raffle so I’m happy to play the double figures on a horse who is looking for 1800m.
