Northam r5 Quiet Goddess( Place )& SRM Profound Benefit (1) & Quiet Goddess (12) Top 4
Same track , distance and class , Quiet Goddess is much better placed to run a race at odds 2nd up . Forget first up , the big girl was held tight in restricted room for the majority of the straight in a farcically run affair where the first three in running ran top 3. While barrier 1 and 1300m may not be perfect , she can hold a spot without spending a penny and if the run presents she should be hitting the line .
Statewide’s 2yo form is top shelf. Wide draw , first up 1300m off 1 trial makes the $1.85 unappealing. Still the most likely winner but prefer to make money elsewhere . La Excellence did nothing first couple of starts then ran 2 solid 2nds. A month between runs with a tick over trial , the odds still look unappealing value wise. No Short Man is on debut off moderate trials. Not sure why it’s in the market from a wide draw. Profound Benefit is limited but been racing ok and looks better value than the other two hence the SRM top 4 selection.

If we make it to the last leg we don’t have to back Quiet Goddess for the win , if we get knocked out I will put a little on just in case.
