BEST TRIXIE ; A trixie requires 2/3 legs to win for a collect , all 3 for a fill up. I like having them when all 3 selections are in the 2 - 3 dollar range.
Race 2 Majestuoso Phoenix ; Has recently led and run 2nd to Now You See Me this track & distance twice. He is not there and the 3kg claimer only has to find the front , put the handlebars down and hang on . The best of the 3 legs.
Race 3 Dust Aside ; Won his maiden over 1200 by 6 , then bumped into the flying What’s the Point , caught wide latest , both over 1100m. From barrier 2 he should handle the step up to 1300 and strikes an easier race.
Race 5 Now You See Me ; 4/4 this prep , the last 3 here on the dirt including a 5 length romp over 2nd fav Cruise To Victory . The issue is he was scratched 18 days ago after being kicked by another horse. He was $1.40 that day and the only reason he isn’t today is the 31 days between runs . If he’s cherry ripe it’s hard to see him being run down with 53kgs on his back. Late betting and pre race interviews might be key.
