Race 1 Official Business ; It’s 2yo form stacks up here but it’s the latest trial that has me keen to bet today. Sat outside and dead heated with talented filly Gaintree , clearing out from the rest. That filly started 1.50 last Saturday and got the job done over 1200m . Heavy 9 conditions means I can’t get carried away with stake size , won a 400m trial by 2 on soft but that is a stretch to use as a guide.
Best Bet Race 8 Surround Me ; Finished behind both Catch Carter and My Jimmy last start but wasn’t far away and I’m tipping she turns the tables based on the following reasons ; Maps to get the run of the race , superior heavy track record (2 starts 1 w 1 2nd) , and she has never placed 2nd up previously , winning 1st and 3rd up which she presents today. My Jimmy might have a new lease of life under the new trainer and has a good 2nd up record , not at this distance however and barrier 1 might be sticky for a backmarker . Catch Carter has no heavy and inferior soft track ratings.
