Sunday Prayers

Best Bet Caulfield r7 Prevailing Winds ; Weir/Lane Combo on a gelding that has really hit his straps. Dominant provincial win followed by a very unlucky second in town.

New Year Fireworks

Best Bet ; Flemington r4 Last Week; Progressive type from Weir yard and once they break through they usually go on with it. Won easy last start.

Randwick r8 Smartedge; Very impressive first up winner and has plenty of upside.

Ascot r2 Flash of Thunder; Very speedy customer who was untroubled on debut in easier. Hard to catch again.

Ascot r3 New Age; Has been putting weak fields away last two and has the upside to do it to these as well.

Boxing Day Best Bets

Best Bet; Morphettville r2 Grunt; Apologies for tipping odds on fav as a best but I honestly rate it at 1.40 so 1.85 looks great especially with any boost options.

Devenport r3 Century Flyer; Now he has broken through with a dominant all the way victory, he finds a weak race to go on with it.

Randwick r7 Montreal; Jumps sharply in class after soft kill at prohibitive odds but touted to be extra smart and ran quick time.

Santa's Sack Fillers

Best Bet Gold Coast r7 Sheza Lily; Is in sparkling form besides no luck last start when out late and thundering home. Loves this track and distance, might give them a start but will be coming hard again late.

Ascot r2 Touch Of Silver; Got too far back last week. Small field suits and if handles quick back will finish over the top of them.

Ascot r3 Special Delivery; Racing very well and 2nd last start to Senso who won again on Wednesday. $17 is a good price each way.

Ascot r6 Trap For Fools; What more can we say. Is the proven stayer and although I see Material Man getting the perfect run I can't believe trap isn't favourite again!

Warwick Farm r9 Noire; In a race of two main chances, Noire maps better.

Hawkesbury r5 Gracefilly; Down in grade and back on dry.

Hawkesbury r6 Speed and Style; Natural improvement from very close 2nd on debut sees it go very close.

Hawkesbury r7 Nines Enough; Dominant at only start, trialing well for return.

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Doomben r7 Pierata; Thrashed inferior opposition last start and drawn to get gun run.

Doomben r3 Ef Troop; Only 5 2yo's but 3 of them have serious potential. Sticking with the local who won tough on debut then won a 3 horse trial by 20 lengths more importantly in quick time with plenty left in the tank.

Randwick r2 Victorem; 3yo with serious potential who trialled brilliantly for his return. Is too good for these but will need a good ride in a hot speed race.

Randwick r3 Broadside; Odds on in a staying race but if there is such a thing as a form good thing then this is it.

Early quaddie (r2-5) 6, 1, field, field $156 for 100%

Caulfield r4 Vinland; Stays in a similar grade that he flogged last start.

Caulfield r5 Mrs Gardenia; Never easy giving males weight but racing too well to go past.

Wednesday Winners

Best Bet Mornington r6 Civil Disobedience ; Been going close in harder races.

Mornington r2 Alnaas; The extra distance and fitness look ideal here.

Mornington r3 Prevailing Winds; Can easily tie form in with Saturday winners. Very hard to beat.

Mornington r5 She's Popular; 3yo filly taking on older horses but has plenty of upside while the others have reached their level.

Wyong r1 Montreal; First up for a year but has been backed into Winx like odds based on huge potential it showed on debut and trials leading in. Multi banker.

Wyong r7 Cajetan; Five weeks between runs over 1600m shouldn't be a problem for this stable. If finds front it is too classy for this lot.

Multi 1; Alnaas,  Prevailing Winds, Montreal. $4.52 (tabtouch)

Multi 2; All six selections $60.23

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Ascot r4 Gaulois; Did a power of work in the guineas and stuck on well. Much better barrier and easier opposition.

Ascot r3 Celebrity Dream;  Has these covered on ability, just has to prove itself over 1400m and Pike needs to weave a passage from barrier 1.

Early Quaddie (r2-5) field, 1, 1, field $88 for 100%

Ascot r7 Trap For Fools; The run has to end one day but looks the only leader again and will be extremely hard to run down.

R8 Kingston Town; See main page 2 13 1 4

R9 Gomer Wipple & My Grace; Both look suited at the distance and both are over the odds.

Rosehill r1 Gongs; One of the most impressive 2yo's to be produced so far and looks too good again.

Doomben r6 Sheza Lily; Have tipped this horse successfully last few starts and see no reason it can't win again.

Doomben r8 Crack Me Up ; Pretty much same field it beat up last start over more suitable distance and great barrier.

Multi; Gaulouis, Jungle edge, Gongs and Crack Me up all to win $35 (tabtouch)

Inters Final

After 3 rounds of heats crammed into a week, then a week to analyze the all important barrier draw, the ultimate test of stamina is here. Ive narrowed it down to three winning chances in what shapes as a classic contest.

1. Tiger Tara $5.50 ; No one would of left the barrier draw happier than Tiger's connections. A tough stayer that won one heat leading all the way keeping Lazarus at bay and placed by breezing in the others.  Has the speed to lead and most likely hold Lazarus early again as doubt it can take a sit and out sprint him.

2. Lazarus $2.15 ; Has been fav all series despite only winning one heat. Best draw tonight but will most likely have to do all the work in the breeze. Getting past Tiger and holding the swooper's out late won't be easy but he is a champion pacer with a phenomenal trainer .

10. Chicago Bull $3.90; WA's best hope with champion WA father/son Hall combination. He's little but has the heart of a bull and has a habit of peaking in finals and winning. Two soft heat wins from favourable barriers and a held up 3rd. Can't see a scenario where it isn't leaders back or 3 back pegs and will be extremely dangerous from there.

1. Chicago Bull 2. Tiger Tara 3.Lazarus 4.Vultan Tin

Exotics

1st 1 2 10

2nd 1 2 10 $3 quinella

3rd 1 2 10 $6 trifecta

4th 3 4 6 9 $24 first four.

Best Bet r5 Argyle Red; As is often the case in even fields the 1 leads and wins. Can't see this changing unless it gets crossed at start.

r7 (Golden Nugget) Ultimate Machete; Not a betting proposition but worth watching this budding superstar who has breezed and beaten Tiger Tara in NZ. Free Quaddie leg.

First Four 1, 10, 2 3 4 11, s3 $12.

Quaddie (r5-8) *jackpot 1, 1 2 10, 1, field $30 for 100%

Wednesday Winners

Warwick Farm r1 Chain of Fools; Field has dropped off with scratchings but looking to repeat last start's dominant front running victory.

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Morphetville r8 Embecee Lil; Very much in form mare who drops in class and draws better since very narrow defeat.

Rosehill r6 Savapinski; Very tough Waterhouse mare coming from Flemington carnival where it smoked them.

Rosehill r7 Cabeza De Vaca; Another Waterhouse front runner that if given the chance will run them into the ground.

Quaddie (r6-9) 4, 4, 1 2 3 5 8 9 12 15, 6 7 8 11 14 15 17 $56 for 100%

Ascot r2 La Mouline ; Going for 5 in a row and paying $3.50 against $1.70 Royal Star who was scratched at the barriers when favourite over 2100m last week.

Ascot r3 The River; One of many short priced Pike rides as is the norm. Was the states best 2yo before things went pear shaped. Back in the good books first up when too good for a stronger field.

Ascot r7 ; See main Post for details 2,1,8,9.

Esperance r2 Runs to Paradise; Has been placed recently in stronger company.

Multi Savapinski, The River, Embecee Lil and Runs to Paradise all to win. $15.47, add cabeza $40.23

Please Gamble Responsibly.

Inters Night 3

Best Bet Canterbury r4 Whypeo; Qld speedster who will slingshot to the front from wide barrier and run them into the ground. Very confident but key scratchings have killed the price.

Inters Heat 7

Out to the 2536m and 3rd race in 8 days for contestents. Those assured of a start in next weeks final looking for as soft a run as possible, others trying to force there way in with maximum points adds more tricks to finding the winners.  Chicago Bull draws the pole and impossible not to tip but 1.24 no thanks. Tiger Tara is tough as nails and a genuine threat if it wants to be in the breeze.

Trifecta 1 6, 1 5 6, 1 5 6. $40 for 1000%

Inters Heat 8

Soho Tribeca is safely through to the final and drawn poorly but remains fav. Lennytheshark very dissapointing at Bunbury but too good to dismiss and San Carlo gets the pole to show us if he is up too this class. Very tricky and not keen to bet but sticking with Soho Tribeca.

Inters Heat 9

Lazarus is series fav and yet to win a heat. While he really should here at $1.16 I'm suprised at final price as his impressive 2nd was at the bigger track at Bunbury.

First Four 7,2,1 3 5 6 8 9, s3 $30 for 100%

Early Quaddie (r1-4)  1, 1 2 3 4 7, 1, 1 (6) $50 for 1000% ($10 for 200%)

Quaddie 1 2 3 7 10, 1 7 9, 1 2 10 11, 7. $60 for 100%

Wednesday Winners

Best Bet; Wyong r4 Mollyfied; Racing very consistently and maps well.

Sandown r6 Golden Authority; Up slightly in grade but certainly won with authority first up and can repeat.

Northam r5 Tellem Were Comin; Soft winner on debut and this isn't much harder.

Multi : Anchor Tellem in doubles with the other two.
