Weekend Winners

Best Bet Randwick r8 High Bridge; 8yr old Imported hurdler who has won two midweek staying races before tackling this group 1. He has only had 15 starts, winning 8 of them, handles good 3’s to heavy ten’s and has won from 1900m to 3300m jump races! It’s a big test but the acceleration he showed with 60kgs at the midweeks after early traffic problems was enormous and Waller wasn’t afraid to mention the Melbourne Cup after his first up victory. Huge each way chance and I’m even going to have a nibble at the $51 in cup markets.

Randwick r4 Egg Tart; Had a boom on her as a 3yo before numerous setbacks but she seems to be back with a vengeance. Two brilliant runs this campaign and now gets to a more suitable trip.

Mornington r3 I am Queen; Very versatile in that can be ridden back or forward. Has them covered on ability, waiting on track conditions as prefer on dry and there is rain predicted that hasn’t arrived at time of writing.

Mornington 7 Hush Writer & Haripour; Hush Writer is being aimed at better races than this and was very brave in defeat in a better race at 2nd start in Australia. Haripour is progressive and has a nice turn of foot. He is flying but this is harder than what he has been beating. They are paying well enough to back both.

Morphetville r2 Holy Command; The claim and drop in class makes him look like the good thing of the day.

Morphetville r5 Heptagon; Franked his strong Melbourne form with a strong win over Stablemate here last start. Hopefully Holy Command has franked the form in r2 already.

Fire Up Friday

Best Bet Moonee Valley r3 Trap For Fools; Ive been very slow to jump back on our ATM machine this prep but it’s impossible not to like him over this track and distance tonight. Looks a moral but those are famous last words!

Moonee Valley Early Quaddie (r1-4) field, 1, 3, 1 4 $18 for 100%

Moonee Valley r5 Leonardo Da Hinchi; Pushing the extra smart Brutal all the way is very strong form for this. Races on speed and will be extremely hard to get past.

Moonee Valley r6 Golden Halo; Will need a fair track where you can make ground but I trust Lane to pilot her on the right path and her finishing burst will have her right in the finish.

MV Quaddie (r5-8) 4, 6 11, 3 5 6 8 , 5 6 7 8 9 11. $48 for 100%

Gloucester Park r1 Hastalavista (Harness); R1 NO 1 is always popular at the trots and this one looks the goods as long as it holds out the 6 at the start.

Best Bet Gawler r2 Double Denman; $2 looks overs for a horse that has been competitive against some very smart types.

Rosehill r2 She’s Furline; Consistent, talented filly that will get back and finish off hard so small field suits.

Rosehill r3 Girl Tuesday; Bred to be a superstar and nothing in her two wins to suggest she won’t get there. Tricky draw but simply has too much ability.

Rosehill Early Quaddie (r1-4); 1 2 3 , 1 4, 1, 5 6 7 8 10. $30 for 100%

Rosehill r7 Resin; Is dropping from Saturday grade where she ran out off puff late, first up on heavy ground to the midweeks and drawn to get run of race.

Flemington r5 Haunted; Has won 3 and placed twice from 6 starts including top win first up. A lot of these have ability but also untrustworthy habits whereas he is always switched on.

Ipswich r1 Conquermore; Started fav and had excuses in town last start. Wary of the strong market support for Jami Lady but she was very green on debut and tipping he will give her a fright.

Ipswich r3 Yeahnah; Meets much easier opposition here and looks the one.

Belmont r1 The Nicconian; I do prefer him over 1200m but the nose 2nd to Mantime reads well for this and should get every chance from gate 3.

Ballarat r7 Another Coldie; Well weighted in a very even bunch. Each Way.

Best Bet Caulfield r2 Lucky For All; The money just continues to pour in for this one and I agree. Should of won first up except for poor ride and hanging in. It does still do a lot wrong but on raw ability it can easily beat these on way to much better races.

Rosehill r5 Youngstar; No one would dispute she is the best horse in this going forward. Some doubt she has the sprint left in her legs for 1500m being on a cups campaign but I’m backing her class to give them windburn. Great odds for mine at $3.30

Belmont r3 Duck Duck Goose; Closing sectionals on debut behind a horse that is spruiked to be a star suggest she will take care of these.

Belmont Early Quaddie (r1-4); 1 3, field, 9, 1 5. $24 for 100%

Doomben r1 Let’s Go Bobby; Has a sharp turn of foot and maps to get a head start on fav.

Doomben r5 Global Choice; Taking on an odds on fav but has raced fairly in harder races.

Warwick Farm r7 Excelsior; Bolted in under similar conditions before forgive run on heavy track in harder.

Cranbourne r4 Fifth Amendment; Showed an abundance of speed to win easily on debut and can repeat.

Cranbourne r7 I Did It Again; Bit cautious at 2nd up record at the short odds but had excuses 1st up and this is very winnable.

Best Bet Belmont r8 Mantime; Presuming it backs up from Wednesday it will lead on it’s ear and try and run them into the ground again.

Belmont r3 Great Again; Drawn to sit on their hammer and prove to be too great again!

Belmont r6 Kelly’s Secret; Love the Patrocity form line and can follow in his footsteps backing up dominant maiden victory with a strong showing here. Each Way.

Belmont Quaddie (r5-8); Field, 5 11, 1 3 6 7 8, 2. $90 for 100%

Flemington r2 Smart Melody; Unbeaten NSW visitor who has yet to be even tested. Biggest test by far but looks a superstar. Be patient with price.

Flemington r4 Brutal; Ignore margin last start as it was on a terrible surface with a huge rails bias. With a clean jump will get it’s own way out in front and take a power of running down.

Flemington r5 Rich Charm; Never runs a bad race and drawn wide down the straight six in a smallish field is perfect sceneario.

Flemington Early Quaddie (r2-5); 4 7, 1 2 3 5 8, 3, 4 6 7 $30 for 100%

Flemington r8 Native Soldier; It’s last start win had to be seen to believed, smashing them from start to finish. If it’s not gassed should repeat.

Flemington r9 Furrion; Up and coming star who had he not drawn 1 would be odds on. It is a horror draw and will need a ton of luck/ great ride but if he gets it they won’t hold him out.

Flemington Quaddie (r6-9) ; field, 3 10 11, 3 , 15 $39 for 100%

Randwick r7 El Dorado Dreaming; One of our spring contender horses, since the post it has been transferred as previous trainer Ben Smith is in hot water over a stable raid. With all that going on it’s hard to be super confident but I’m confident she is the one to follow out of race and will play small each way tomorrow based on solid trials leading in.

Randwick r8 Avilius; Has the finishing burst of a group 1 horse in the making.

Morphetville r3 Haripour; Put them away quickly last start.

Morphetville r5 Tamasa; Has the form lines to put these away.

Best Bet Moree r4 Attila; A repeat of last start from perfect speed map sees it winning again.

Geelong r5 Stealthy Lucas; The increase in distance did the trick last start and can only be fitter and further improved now. Each Way.

Geelong r7 Furrion; Have to trust he is ready but if he is he is better than 78 grade.

Kalgoorlie r1 Spiritual Warrior; Up in class but looks most suited at the distance and Pateman rides.

Kalgoorlie r2 Illmatic; It's form is strong enough for goldfields debut.

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Belmont r8 Patrocity; Never easy jumping from maiden grade but was racing competitively in tougher than this last prep regardless. Pike sticks and won his maiden with the handbrake on.

Belmont r2 Kelly's Secret; If Patrocity is my best then running 2nd to it 2nd up has to be the right form line in maiden grade. I will be cringing during running as I have tipped 23red nearly every start and should of been repaid last start. Some hope but this is harder. (Quinella 3 & 5)

Belmont Quaddie (r5-8) 1 5, 1 5 10, 1 2 3 5 , 12. $24 for 100%

Caulfield r5 Call Me Handsome; Rock hard fit and maps for gun run while most are first up heading to longer distances over carnival.

Caulfield r6 Alymerton; Tricky when stablemate is fav but reportedly going well and last prep proved it was up to the best of them. First run for Hayes. Each Way.

Caulfield Quaddie (r6-9); 2 4 6 7 , 1 3, 1 2 3 4 7, 1 5 6. $120 for 100%.

Randwick r6 Lanciato; Imperative you can make ground from the rear as it's how to ride him and last start he got 1.5 lengths of Pierata who was fav before scratched. Great each way bet.

Sunshine Coast r6 Fighting Teo; Narrowly beaten at Rosehill before winning at Gold Coast despite sitting deep, one of the bets of the day.

Morphetville r7 Theanswermyfriend;  Has finally found it's mojo again since joining Weir and although this is much tougher it will lead and get a big head start on key rivals.

Belmont r4 I'm Pretty; Not expecting conditions to be pretty but she was extremely unlucky on debut , shuffled back and held up when the whips were cracking. A repeat of effort to still finish 2nd and better luck see's her winning here.

Ipswich r3 Francisca; Ability, speed map, weight after claim, all point to her going back to back here. Splitter finished just behind her last start and looks the Quinella horse (no's 1 & 3)

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Belmont r6 Crystal Spirit; Granted it is jumping sharply in class from a c1 to 72+ but it couldn't of been more impressive first up in WA. Has raced against nice horses in Victoria and confident it will cope.

Sunshine Coast r5 Guard Of Honour; Has a distinct class edge and only needs a little luck from bad gate to swoop past these.

Sunshine Coast r7 Tversky; Put them to the sword first up so as long as that effort didn't flatten him they will struggle to get past him.

Moonee Valley r6 Our Venice Beach; Impossible to know how forward this import is but it's best form from overseas would brain them so happy to have a nibble each way at $8.50.

Rosehill r8 Don't Give A Damn; First up without a trial but trainer has stated he is ready and definitely has the ability.

Rosehill r9 Paret; Not quite Pike in the last cult status but Bowman/Waller are gaining momentum in NSW. Like last week's winner Kaionic,  he is high up in Epsom betting and should be winning to justify that status.

Best Bet Morphetville r7 Inn Keeper; Unbeaten on wet tracks and ran 2nd to Voodoo Lad on less suitable good track at latest. Very keen.

Caulfield r1 Remember The Name; Has finished just behind some very handy males lately so looks suited back against the girls.

Caulfield r6 Sunlight; On face value expected a little more first up against a very smart one but has the form on the board to take a stack of beating back against 3yo fillies.

Caulfield r7 Grunt; Part of our spring contender series, no doubt he is the upcoming star in this line up. First up in a big campaign is the question but drawn to be right in the finish.

Caulfield r8 Osborne Bulls; Has a massive motor and as long as handles Caulfield first time will be handling these.

Caulfield r9 Plein Ciel; Has a very solid record overall backed up by distance, track and 2nd up stats.

Caulfield Quaddie (r6-9); 1 10, 1 2 5 11 13 14 15, 3, 5 7. $28 for 100%

Randwick r9 Kaoinic; If he is to be one of Waller's main Epsom hopes then he has to win this. Loves Randwick.

Belmont r6 Great Again; Building a great record and drawn to get every chance to add to it here.

Thursday Tips

Best Bet Newcastle r8 Kissing Game; Suited by step up in trip, barrier and 2kg claim for in form hoop. This also looks a little easier than latest.

Newcastle r5 Evalina; Nosing out Miss Fabulass with a gap to third at latest trial indicates she is ready to win a race like this.

Newcastle Quaddie (r5-8); 8, 3 6 8 11, field, 2. $28 for 100%

Northam r5 Twentythree Red; Forgive first up run when working hard on very wet track however if he doesn't show something in this field it's definately going in sin bin!

Sandown r5 The Passage; Running on into 2nd behind Mantastic start prior looks incredibly good form for this.

Sandown r6 Tin Hat; When a best bet let's you down first up it's usually a good idea to give it one more chance. Was caught very wide first up. Drawn out again but bigger track and a more positive ride should help. Was very heavily backed on that occasion so must be going well and today we get $7 each way to recoup some losses.

Canterbury r7 Star Of The Seas; Lightly raced 4yo who won it's maiden with plenty of gears up his sleeve first up. Has been kept fresh and drawn perfectly to repeat.

Best Bet Belmont r2 Rebel Knight; Took a very highly rated, expensive purchase to run him down last start in similar conditions. Jockey is on fire.

Belmont r3 State Prosecutor; I boldly step back in to this fellow's corner after like many, being burnt previously. A couple of 2nds to Come Play With Me is not to be sneezed at. I find the price differential 0f $1.55 for stablemate Red Army vs $2.40  bewildering, especially with Pike staying loyal to the Peters camp.
