Sunday Prayers

Best Bet Kalgoorlie r7 Pym’sRoyale; Before being a competitive Saturday horse in town it won 5/5 at this track. Pateman is his regular jockey.

Kalgoorlie r9 Excaro; Has made these sprint races her own in the region , dominating on speed. Today’s obstacle is having to sit outside a very hot speed with Nemiroff flying along in front for inform apprentice Mcnaught. Excaro is much more reliable at the business end however wary of a blowout if she get’s tired last 100m.

Kalgoorlie Quaddie (r6-9); 1 2 3 4 5 6 , 5, field , 3. $84 for 100%

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Belmont r5 Spiritual Warrior; Both horse and jockey are in a purple patch of form and the form from his last start has been well and truly franked.

Belmont r8 Cup Night; First up and short of his best distance but won all 3 starts last prep. His trial win was super impressive and looks set for bigger and better things.

Belmont r9 Blackwood River; When this horse gets a perfect run he usually goes close. If he doesn’t he can look plain. I map him getting every chance right behind speed here and should be in the finish on an each way basis.

Moonee Valley r4 Haut Brion Her; Only time she has lost was beaten 1/2 length by the smart Sylvia’s Mother. Gets the right run just off speed and will be strong late.

Moonee Valley r5 Exhillerates; Some of her wins from impossible positions in the best company have been outstanding. Doesn’t have to get so far back here and as long as its not very wet looks too classy.

Moonee Valley r8 Kenedna; Group 1 winner with the blinkers on at each way odds .

Eagle Farm r2 Trevelyan; Current form well and truly good enough for this and the main danger Reckless Choice has to carry a big weight.

Eagle Farm r8 Magnufighter; Another one with Looks Like Elvis form which is red hot. Previous runs have been spaced , quick back up this time so unknown how he copes.

Morphetville r5 Shopaholic; Lightly raced mare in peak form. Bred to get the trip and no more inform trainer / jockey combo in the country.

Wednesday Winners

Best Bet Belmont r3 Pure Dynamite; Promising maiden victory at first start as a 3yo. Showed ability in some strong 2yo races so should be able to progress here.

Randwick r3 Royal Witness; Tipping on track and distance record . However I’m finding early markets too tight to bet on at moment Australia wide . $2 is too short and will be waiting for better or not playing.

Sandown r6 Soul Patch; Won on debut and put straight out. The form for that race has stood up. Had it not drawn car park I would be super keen but it is a very strong race. Small each way and maybe even a speck at Caulfield Guineas Futures market ($93) in case it runs a bottler.

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Belmont r7 Zaratite ; Has a turn of foot the others in the race simply can’t match. Yes it’s an apprentices race so no Pike this time but Kirby is one of the better ones and the horse is versatile enough to come from anywhere. Would be odds on with Pike in saddle.

Caulfield r7 Pippie; Maps to find the front and in current form will give a good kick at top of straight and be hard to run down.

Eagle Farm r1 Zac Attack; It’s only start was an impressive win then put straight away. Again looked smart in trial win and from barrier 1 gets it’s chance to remain unbeaten. 40/60 to cover bet looks pretty safe.

Eagle Farm r5 So Spirited; Gets in light with 2kg claim for in form apprentice and maps to get lovely trail at pet distance.

Rosehill r9 Roosevelt; Looking for the swimmers and this one fits the bill. Not the most consistent type but loves the conditions and has services of Bowman at each way prices.

Morphetville r6 Bella Vella; Won a similar race from the front easily two back then went to Melbourne for a credible 5th in stronger grade.

Thursday Tips

Best Bet Northam r5 Wee Ripper; Building to a peak performance and the turn of foot he has when right looks dangerous in this line up.

Warrnambool r4 The Great Hans; The way he finished off on a soft 7 over 1200m on debut suggests he might have this lot covered. However $2 on a heavy ten at start 2 is rock bottom.

Wednesday Winners

Best Bet Warwick Farm r3 Erno ; Looks a race in two with Full Recognition and banking on getting the lead . Confident that will be advantage Erno.

Warwick r7 Beaufort Park; Has won 3/6 and 1/1 2nd up . Drawn to get gun run it has already halved it’s opening price . Each Way.

Sandown r3 Creedence; The drop in class and drier track should help produce a peak performance 4th up this prep.

Sunday Prayers

Best Bet Kalgoorlie r2 Tajmali; Very speedy filly who will either lead or sit outside leader. Perfect scenario for Kal 1100m and first run in the region indicated she will have a big prep for Kalgoorlie’s version of Waller.

Kalgoorlie r4 Gangbuster ; In the most even field you will see going for the inform local who is at his pet track & distance. Although up in class the others are mostly coming from average efforts in the city.

Ballarat r2 Princess Anacheeva; Jumps racing on a Heavy 10! She ran a very encouraging 2nd at her jumps debut and heavy no problem.

Ballarat r6 Tallyho Twinkletoe; NZ’er who bolted in first start Australia and loves it Heavy. No Denying the warhorse Wells who is simply outstanding in these races but weight must come into it on a heavy ten.

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Randwick r7 Avilius; One of the very best horses in the country let alone this race. Yes 1400m is short of his best but his turn of foot shown at two 1600m first up runs since coming to Australia was breathtaking and recent trial indicates they will want to be a long way in front of him to be holding him out.

Randwick r8 Kiamichi; There is always a concern with Slipper winners resuming that the others have caught up in maturity and the tough campaign required to win one takes it’s toll. This girl also has the “wet tracker” tag on her aswell. Her trial however was good and I can’t let her go around at $5.50 each way in this with that sort of form around her, especially with the run Godolphin are having at the moment. Don’t know what to do with Agent Pippa , Brilliant win first up in NSW , very plain 2nd up at prohibitive odds. Wary !

Novelties 1st 2 4 13 2nd 2 4 13 3rd 2 4 8 13 15 4th field.

Randwick Early Quaddie (r2-5) ; 1 2 3 5 7 8 , field, 5, 3 $60 for 100%

Randwick Quaddie (r6-9); 6 7 12 13 , 1, 2 4 13, 4 7 11. $36 for 100%

Moonee Valley r6 Mosh Music; Up and coming stayer who looks a player in the 2nd level spring features at the very least. Unbeaten at the distance and track , $5.50 each way is good value.

Moonee Valley r7 Hightail; Has been gelded and blinkers were on in trial where ridden aggresivelly to great effect. That indicates they are coming here to win first up and definitely has the class to win this when right.

Moonee Valley Quaddie (r6-9); 3 7 9, 1 , 9 11, field $84

Belmont r6 Uni Time ; Hammered in betting last week , it raced wide and only got beaten 1/2 a length. Proven weight carrier and will be charging home again, hopefully off a softer run in transit.

Thursday Tips

Best Bet Pinjarraon r4 Bloom Away; Keeps threatening to win one of these distance maidens and I’m banking on Pike being the missing ingredient .

Pinjarra Early Quaddie (r1-4); 2 3 4 5 7 10 11, 14 , 1 3 5 6 10 12 , 7. $42 for 100%

Hawkesbury r7 Gaulois; Not the strongest version of this years Rowley Mile, at listed level. Great run last start , coming from an impossible position to go down narrowly. Should settle closer from the draw and be hard to hold out. Track rated of good 3 a concern as his wet track record is better.

Betfair/Multi;

Pinjarra r2 Belle of Liberty; Should of won on debut when had to change course more than once and just missed as our best bet. $1.30 on a 1 start maiden is hard to accept though!

York (UK) r4; If you put her in your multi at 1.25 it’s an excuse to stay up and watch the best horse in the world go round for the thrill of seeing if we can stop her !

Wednesday Winners

Best Bet Sandown r1 Sticking Point; Blew it’s chances at the start on debut , running on into 2nd behind the all the way winner with a gap to 3rd. With a better jump and an extra 200m can go one better.

Sandown r8 Tofane; Typical of this time of year , she last started in a group 2 and just missed behind Valour Rd. That says she wins this on class alone but it’s tricky knowing how forward they are with bigger fish to fry. It’s a balancing act of looking for market support without missing the price!

Belmont r2 Naughty By Nature; Was on debut when she got back from a wide draw and took some riding to get going but when she did she exploded late. Hopefully settles a bit closer from barrier 1 and gets a clear crack at them. Each Way.

Betfair/Multi

Belmont r6 Black Ducati; Exciting sprinter who has burned the turf, once at the races and at the trials. Bookies aren’t taking any chances at $1.50 though.

Sunday Prayers

Best Bet Cranbourne r5 Real Gent; In form wet tracker who has won at the distance.

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Belmont r3 Zaratite; Has a turn of foot that the others do not and gets through the likely atrocious conditions. He has been scratched 2 Saturdays in a row but we can only presume he won’t go round if he’s not right.

Belmont r4 Uni Time; Bolted in a c1 with 61kgs on wet ground so should handle the conditions better than most. Short enough for this harder assignment but never runs a bad race and will get every chance again. The bolter might be New Age who flies fresh but wet and 1400m (prefer 1600m +) are the queries. Cryptic Love the only other chance .

Belmont Early Quaddie (r2-5); field, 3 , 1 6 8, 3 5 . $54 for 100%.

Belmont r8 Neurological; This horse is an absolute ripper for connections. Always in the finish and drawn to power home to victory again from just off them. Is getting up in the weights and likely very wet track some query but still the one to beat.

Randwick r5 Notio; Is the one dropping a long way in class and 3kg claim gets it in very well at weights. Pet distance and small field suits as will get back so not too many horses to round up.

Caulfield r5 Excess Funds; Tricky gate but has the race fitness edge , handles soft and has very strong form lines.

Caulfield r8 Mystic Journey; Already Labelled the next Winx , everyone wants to pot from inside draw on wet track, even the trainer is voicing concern. Agree at odds on but now getting out to a very tempting price as long as inside isn’t a bog come race time. Wait til last minute and if hasn’t blown out considerably in market then happy to get on.

Betfair/Multi *too short presently but multi bankers or shop for better on betfair.

Morphetville r5 Shilldora; Has a massive class edge but scratchings have ruined price.

Thursday Tips

Best Bet Sale r10 Maktabba; While it’s only coming from a f&m maiden on synthetic at prohibitive odds , It has 2yo form behind Yes Yes Yes. Presume they are trying to storm through the grades for spring racing targets later in the prep.

Sale r3 Somethingaboutharry; Got too far back and stormed home on debut to finish 2nd where as the winner led throughout. If you can make ground it should win. Will be watching first two races to check for any bias.

Sale r6 Pereira; Bombed the start before making good ground latest in a harder race. Clear standout on class and Lane booking is a good lead.

Sale Quaddie (r7-10); 7, field, 4 9 , 14. $22 for 100%

Newcastle r7 Rancho Notorious; Wouldn’t have to improve much off it’s first up run to beat these.

Northam r5 Brave Call; This looks even easier than last start’s 2nd in a maiden in town .

Wednesday Winners

Best Bet Sandown r5 Too Good Too Hard; It’s debut win from way back over 1200m then last start just missing a 1000m specialist on a soft 7 indicate tomorrows 1300m on heavy should suit down to the ground.

Sandown r1 Singing Sword; In a very competitive affair, I thought $7 each way (pay 1 &2) was a good price for the only horse to have seen heavy (ran 2nd) and has the services of Damian Lane .

Sandown r4 Paris; Again going to the proven wet track performer and gets in with just 52kgs after claim.

Warwick Farm r2 Achondrite; Should of finished closer first up and now looks to get every chance with barrier 1 and Mcdonald to dominate the race and make amends.

Doomben r7 Constant Flight; Record indicates fresh is best so first up from barrier 1 in a winnable race looks a winning formula.

Weekend Winners

Best Bet Flemington r3 Jumbo Ozaki ; Was a certainty beaten at first city start last campaign coming from two ultra impressive soft kills. Trial indicated he has stakes class at the very least and if he handles the track conditions will go extremely close.

Flemington r5 Dabiyr; Lightly raced Waller Import who is coming off a solid Midweek win. This is technically harder but handles wet ground and relishes the distance range. Each Way.

Belmont r3 Massimo; One trial for a strong win in quick time then straight to town for leading stable.

Belmont r9 Blackwood River; Value tip of the day but having said that was expecting much bigger odds than the $11 on offer. First up was never a factor after drawing car park on a wet track and getting back to last. Has run it’s best races up on speed and from inside barrier expecting it to settle leaders back and try and pinch it on corner. Small each way, hopefully at much better odds.

Thursday Tips

Pinjarra r3 Belle of Liberty; On debut from WA’s leading yard and won it’s only trial by a space on the bit which is rare for this camp, usually keeping them under wraps. Straight to the races and drawn the right side in a very winnable maiden.

Pinjarra r5 Indian Chant; Suprised he is still a maiden but has run places in harder fields than this and gets another chance.

Kembla Grange r1 Run For Glory; Won easily on debut at 100-1 and the place getters have since won.

Kembla Grange r5 Emergent; Never easy coming out of maiden grade but keeps improving as the distances increase and 1600m looks ideal to go on with it.

Kembla Grange r7 Dolly’s Due; In form mare with a very solid record for this.

Wednesday Winners

Best Bet Belmont r1 Too Close The Sun; First up over 1700m on a soft 6 has to be a query but has trialed better than maiden class and is bred to relish even further. Stable is on fire, opposition look limited and has been heavily backed overnight. Thinking we deserve better than current $2 so I’m waiting til jump.

Belmont r3 Sir Mambo; Likes running 2nd but this is very winnable. Claim and good draw means he should get every chance.

Belmont Early Quaddie (r1-4); 2, field, 2, 1 2 3 4 6 9.$48 for 100%. $48 for 100%

Cranbourne r7 Strong Influence; Was hoping for a wetter track than soft 5 as it’s recent wet form is good enough to take this out. Should still be very competitive.

Please Gamble Responsible

Sunday Prayers

Best Bet Sandown r9 Smart Elissim; Drop from Saturday grade , claim and soft track all point to him running a big race.

Sandown r4 Pinyin; Has form around good winning horses including this track and distance.

Sandown r8 Helmaz; Racing well without much luck in stronger race latest. Each Way.

WEEKEND WINNERS

Best Bet Belmont r6 Uni Time; Have a lot of time for this horse. Won with ease first up carrying 61kgs in first gear. Huge respect to Lipstick Flickers who is the obvious danger if your a quinella fan.

Randwick r1 Art Collection; Is the one with solid form in elite 2yo company and coming off impressive trial win. Mcdonald booked, If it wasn’t a heavy track would be my best bet but that’s the unknown.

Ranndwick r8 Cyber Intervention; Looks primed for the 1800m 3rd up after rattling home last 2 over shorter distances and wet track no problem.

Morphetville r5 Autumn Splendour; Was held up and green on debut but still finished off hard in what should be a strong enough form reference for this maiden.

Doomben r8 Handsome Thief; Has a solid record in this distance range where as 1200m stretches most of the other leading chances to their limit.

Thursday Tips

Best Bet Northam r1 Data Lake; Bit of a gamble on a mare having her 3rd start in a race , 2nd up from a spell, jumping from 1600m to 2200m but… the race record of the others is that bad she only has to get the trip to be winning.

Pakenham r1 Favourite Things ; Synthetic racing not my favourite thing to bet on but your only gambling on her handling the track as her race form is far superior.

Pakenham r4 Love Machine; This time going with the runner that is proven on this surface vs the fav who has slightly stronger form but never been tried on the synthetic.
