Concede that makes best bet status a little nerve racking however there was a nice gap to 3rd which is usually a sign the form will stack up and the 2nd favourite has had 19 starts . Looks a perfect set up for her ,providing you can make ground swooping out wide .

Best Each Way Pinjarra r6 Auto Cruise ; Debut winner , beating race 3 best bet Impressive Jewel. Got into a dog fight with her and was very strong on the line. If the best bet salutes I’m happy to back him to remain undefeated. If it flops I will still invest but with a much smaller stake.

Dun With The Blues 2nd up record isn’t as good as first up and Camera Action untested at 1690m . Peter’s Investment horses are dominating at moment and this one can keep the ball rolling.

Best Each Way Bunbury r5 Sure Thing ; Has dominated country races by running them into the ground since arriving from the East. Got in a duel with another speedster his only attempt at Saturday city racing and did too much work. From barrier 1 expect him to hold the front and that is certainly no disadvantage at Bunbury. .

Bunbury r5 Frantic War ; 5% win 95% place ; The Positives ; Best 1st up run of his career , pet distance , home track , Pike. The Negatives ; barrier 9/10 , wet track. In summary I couldn’t back him with confidence to win but he is getting out to a reasonably attractive place price. Go you good thing!

Best Roughie Bunbury r8 Panthera Tiger ; Thought the 5 length 8th on debut was full of merit , fighting all the way to the line despite being caught off the track the entire race. Straight to 1600m at Albany and got the job done for Kyra Yuill who sticks. 1700 should be no problem 3rd up and with natural improvement he can run a race at over 20 / 1 , hopefully bringing up a stable double .

Best Bet Northam r3 Annie Warbucks ; Trial and both runs this prep have been considerably stronger than her previous form , indicating she is ready to win a very weak maiden. $2 is as low as I’d accept but it is justified.

Best Bet Pinjarra r2 Repossesion ; Promising 3yo sprinter who has a clear class edge over his rivals , just has to handle the Pinjarra straight. Small field should help visiting apprentice get the job done.

Best Each Way Pinjarra r5 Cherry Can Run ; Strange for a mare to have a breakout season at 6 , especially a sprinter , but that’s what she did last time in. Won a few and ran some blinders in decent company. Returned a winner to prove she’s not done yet and goes around at $15 in an open race. Heavy place each way.

Best Value Pinjarra r7 Admiration Express ; Two starts ago she went within 1/2 a length of winning the Group 1 Northerly Stakes at WFA . Trialed well , no luck on resumption and goes around at 26’s . Magnificent Andy clearly deserves to be favourite .

Race 3 Filthy Habits WIN : Smacked them in the Albany Cup on soft ground and drops 5 kilo’s on that run. Best winning chance of day .

Race 7 Redback Flyer WIN ; 3yo with real upside going for 3 in a row. This is as weak as Saturday graduation company gets , wet ground the query at the price. Endless Joy has turned the corner and is flying but hasn’t met anything near the level of the fav. Might add value to novelties as insurance.

Race 8 Golden Vale PLACE ; Gets the run of the race tracking the leader in Nobelity providing the inside is ok by this stage. Can definitely win this and a single bet outside of the multi is my play .

The Win Win Place multi is trading around $4.60 , short enough for 3 legs but a way to get involved in a lacklustre meeting punting wise .

Pinjarra r3 Quiet Goddess ; While I’m convinced she has the most potential in this field by a considerable margin , it’s hard to go too hard first up over 1300m from an awkward gate. Thinking a 25/75 % split of stake is the way to go and I’m going to wait and see what the market does , closer to $2 a place she gets , bigger the bet.

Best Bet Pinjarra r5 Caraway ; 2nd first up over 1300m , luckless 3rd 2nd up over 1400m , she now finds a weak 1500m maiden from a soft draw to make amends.

Ascot r1 Nos 3 & 4 ; Going to take a set against the favourite , purely on price. Popular opinion is it’s looking for 1400m and coming from better races. My argument is it has a bad barrier and jumping 400m is not easy for any horse let alone a 2yo. So we go to the next two in the market who finished alongside each other on debut over 1200m at Pinjarra, They both hit the line hard from the back behind an all the way winner , hasn’t been easy to do at Pinjarra lately and both are drawn well. Going to take the quinella , and same race multi with both to finish top 3 in case the fav is too good. Alternatively you could consider backing both to win .

Best Each Way Albany r4 Henry The Aviator ; Won this track , grade and trip 2 starts ago , against a similar field. Surrounding runs have been ok in the metro/provincial area. Each Way in a field of 7 (Pay 1 & 2) is not usually the go but I have him priced favourite so the $6.50/2.80 looks juicy.

Best Value Albany r7 Mister Popcorn ; His form is ordinary excluding 1 run , this race last year. Being 2nd up over 3100m , no doubt this has been a 12 month plan and he is the only horse in the field you could be at least confident he runs the trip out. At $13 that is enough for me to have a each way bet.

Ascot r4 Lova Session ; You know what your going to get with this mare , she will sit back and attack the line late with a short sharp burst. She is a bridesmaid , only 3 wins but 11 2nds , so a weak Saturday race at over $2 a place is the perfect opportunity to back her . Two each way options , heavy place to maximise profit or even split to cover your win stake.

Ascot r6 Camera Action ; Biggest positive i can find for this mare is the Jockey change. We were on last start and it was a horror watch behind Lova Session. Back to 1200m is not ideal and she is a bit skinny in the market at the moment but I must follow up.

Best Each Way Ascot r8 Headwall ; This horse is absolutely flying without luck in irresistible form reference races. Obviously Overpass has proven unbeatable in the west but to get the same odds the place on Headwall than the win on him is ridiculous imo. Surely the fav cops pressure from Front Page and hopefully he charges over the top.

Betting Strategy ; I am having a place multi with the three selections and single win bets. If one of the first two finish unplaced then I will have a crack at the place on Headwall .

Best Bet Pinjarra r 4 Admire The Girl ; Not much went right in her debut campaign and the runs rated well enough to be winning this . She trialed down the straight like a first up winner with Pike in the saddle and he sticks for a 1000m straight maiden. Just needs to find a path towards the outside fence from her middle gate.

Pinjarra r6 Patron Express ; First up after only being beaten a few lengths in the 3yo Spring features , this looks a very suitable first up assignment. Was asked for zero effort in trial and has blinkers applied first time. Hopefully a double to friend and Lucky Duck trainer Jason Miller .

Kalgoorlie r1 Mungo Jerry ; Beat key rivals convincingly last week in the same grade , yet somehow is not favourite. Looks the one at the odds.

Best Each Way York r6 Queen’s Sacrifice ; We found her in Kalgoorlie last start and this is no harder. She was well supported then , ridden aggressively and held them at bay quite comfortably . Each way looks great value . Jolly Lace is a track & distance specialist which is a big advantage at York. Plenty don’t handle the hill . Bad draw with big weight but is the main danger.

Best Bet Albany r3 Endless Joy ; Was bursting to break it’s maiden tag , and burst it did , winning by 7 lengths last time out. Where’s My Lunch won his last start by 10 and it sets up an exciting clash. That race was run in blinding rain on a heavy 8 track so I think the margin can be a little misleading. At the better odds I think Joy can sit on the fav and run him down.

Best Bet Ascot r9 Jazz Session ; Has a sharp turn of foot which she successfully stretched out to 1200m last start to tick that box and bring up the hatrick. Technically up in grade but the 2nd fav brings Geraldton form so she is well placed to score 4 on the bounce. Nobellity leads and is the hardest to beat , Jazz beat her comfortably last time they met over the 1000m.

Ascot r2 Haida Gwai ; Trialing the house down , if she’s matured / improved a couple of lengths from her debut campaign she will beat these . Lane / Brad Parnham went 2/2 at Pinjarra Wednesday and this filly can bring up the hatrick. Lucky I Am the danger as the market suggests , looks the Quinella.

Best Bet Ascot r8 Watch Me Rock ; Suggested he was a $1.40 pop last start and although he had to be convinced to stick his head out , he still looked in control and got the job done. Over $2 in another very suitable race looks irresistible, albeit not as confident as last time. Hopefully the gear change brings out the killer Instinct , if not Angel Undercover has the turn of foot to steal it.

If Redback Flyer is going to jump favourite in a c3 in race 6 , then the each way on offer in this maiden has to be the play , especially with the barrier advantage over the current favourite.

Next three runs in the metro / provincial area were good enough to win this. 5th run in first campaign the query , they can train off at any moment . Best Bet Ascot r1 Weerachoux , He destroyed practically the same field with 60kgs last start. The only question is the extra 200m giving the inferior opposition 5.5 kgs . $2.25 from the soft draw looks a bet.

Ascot r7 Luana Miss ; She was supported late in betting first up to trouble the hot pot Yes Queen and she ran her down to remain undefeated. Both fillies draw wide for the rematch and considering the favourite is a jump and run type , I see no reason why she can’t run her down again.

Best Each Way Ascot r8 Rope Them In ; Proved too classy in the Bluff Knoll at Albany and while this is much harder , he was most likely underdone on his way to the Qoukka . He also has a 4th , beaten under two lengths behind Overpass in last years Winterbottom in his cv. Jokers Grin is a serious sprinter , the one time he went beyond 1000m he was outsprinted by Generosity . That was 1200m and he is a massive danger but the each way on offer has Roped me in ! All 3 go in the quaddie.

Best Bet Narrogin r4 Favoured Son ; Finds a weak race where he can race on pace from the good draw and Narrogin favours front runners more often than not. The scratching of the equal favourite Gingeriffic has shortened the odds but made the task easier. Fun fact , it was going to be a clash between the 3yo half brother of Frantic War vs the 2yo half sister to Magnasonic . Bit of useless trivia for you!
