Quiet Goddess is 2nd up 1300m after a puzzling but pass mark run over an unsuitable 1100m 3 weeks ago. She usually over does it early so we added some ear muffs to try and settle her and she relaxed too much , having to be pushed along to even stay in touch , then when she finally did pick up the bit and got to the outside she hit the line nicely , simply just had too much to do.
Race Analysis : It’s a thin race with the market being attracted to the top jocks in Harvey & Pike more than anything. No stand out leaders with Harvey’s mount and current fav Valid Point likely to push forward from 4 and Land of Nod going back from 11 We are drawn 6 and providing she doesn’t repeat the antics of last start , should be able to find some cover midfield and get to the outside and unleash down the long scarpside straight.
Betting Strategy ; She opened $3.60 equal fav with the other two mentioned , and understandably is the one that has drifted to $6.50. Positive sign that the bookies see her as a genuine threat still . Current odds is a each way bet , if she continues to drift to $2.80/ $3 a place then a decent place bet worth considering.
