Started off his prep with a dominant 1100 maiden win at Northam as a 2yo taking on the older horses. Remarkably backed up 2 days later , winning a Saturday 2yo . Quick freshen up and he returned last Saturday , beating the older horses in a 66+ 1000m. We know he handles the quick back up (not even quick for him !) Day Out has blinkers on first time on debut , from 1 he could be the fly in the ointment as far as leading goes but he would have to be ridden desperately to even try and hold . The 3kg claim on a sit and steer type has him primed to run these into the ground. Boy Crush has the best 2yo form if Dawn Dancer unexpectedly feels the pinch late .
